This week we’ve waved farewell to the G20, as the last of the visiting world leaders departed yesterday. But if you think that means it will be quiet this week in Brisbane then you are dead wrong!
First up we have the opening of a gorgeous new exhibition that showcases the iconic costumes worn by the stars of Hollywood’s golden era. Or if you’re in the mood for something with a bit more action (while staying classy of course!) you could grab some mates and check out the Polo in the City.
Animal-lovers wont want to miss the RSPCA Christmas markets for some very special Santa photos, but if you prefer your dogs in a downward direction you can head to the picturesque Rose Garden at New Farm Park and be part of Brisbane’s biggest Yoga Class.
When: Saturday 22 November – 25 May 2015
Where: Museum of Brisbane, Brisbane City Hall
Cost: Free Admission
Step back in time to the glory days of the silver screen at the Brisbane Museum’s newest exhibition. The exhibition includes costumes worn by Hollywood icons such as Judy Garland, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor, and is a must see for lovers of film and fashion!

Although synonymous with the British royalty, Polo actually has a long history in Australia having been played here since 1874. And if you’re looking for a day out with heart-pumping action combined with excellent hospitality you really should check out Polo in the City!
Your ticket includes the shuttle bus from Enoggera Station as well as entry to the Stela Artois Polo Lounge. Wear your race-day best to compete in Fashions on the Field, or simply sip a glass of French champagne and watch the chukkas!

When: Saturday 22nd November, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
Where: RSPCA Animal Care Campus, 139 Station Rd, Wacol
Traditional Santa photos are great but they tend to leave out the very important animal members of the family. Luckily the RSPCA have come up with a solution! Santa Paws is your chance to bring your beloved pooch (any any human embers of the family) to have their picture taken with Santa.
And the best part? Not only will you leave with a precious memento of your pet – you’ll also be supporting the incredible work that RSPCA does with animals in our community.
Bookings are essential so to secure your spot click here. Make sure you leave time before or after your photo to check out the markets and other family activities that will be on there on the day.
When: Sunday 23rd November, 9.00 am
Where: New Farm Park – The Rose Garden
Come and feel the serenity with hundreds of other yoga practitioners this Sunday and be part of Brisbane’s Biggest Yoga Class! Set in New Farm Park’s tranquil rose garden the event provides yoga enthusiasts with the opportunity to “salute the sun” in one of Brisbane’s most stunning outdoor areas.
Although the event starts at 9.00 am you should arrive around 830 am to sign in. Plus all participants will receive a goody bag packed with yoga passes, healthy snacks and gift vouchers from some of the many sponsors.
