Aaaah Christmas shopping! There’s nothing quite like it for bringing out the spirit of goodwill towards the human race…
Unless that particular member of the human race has just stolen the parking space you’ve been patiently waiting for with your indicator on for 15 minutes. Then its on like Donkey Kong and good will can go hang itself!
Don’t get me wrong – I love giving gifts. Nothing beats seeing someone you really care about open a gift that they genuinely love.
But there are two things that ramp the stress factor up to the red zone when attempting my Christmas shopping…
1. The retail madness at this time of year is not conducive to peace, joy and all those other festive emotions. I end up completely frazzled with sensory overload from so much noise, and decisions and STUFF!
2. Finding the perfect gift for the HTBF
So whats the HTBF I hear you ask ? It stands for…
HARD TO BUY FOR!
We all have that one person in our lives who is damn near impossible to buy for. Sometimes because they already HAVE everything (a problem that’s becoming more and more common) or because they have such impeccable or specific tastes you wonder how you can possibly get it right.
